Testimonials

“I have been in pain after many knee surgeries, and my leg tissue was too tight even after workouts and stretching.  Kimmi pinpointed my fascia and deep tissue in such a way as to release the musculature and tissue. I had much more flexibility and less pain, and was able to do much deeper squats and lifts after just a couple of sessions.  Kimmi does wonderful work and has a great manner.  She also created a new workout plan for me to keep the leg loose and strong, and over the last 2 months it has worked wonderfully.  I recommend her highly!!” – Bruce G., Rock + Ice Climber, Sailor, Entrepreneur

“Kimmi provided the best combination of pain-free [manual therapy] and functional improvement that I’ve experienced during my years in endurance sports. I injured my calf one month before my Half Ironman and couldn’t walk without pain for two weeks. I didn’t start really healing and recovering until I started working with Kimmi, and she quickly understood the nuances of my body and was able to identify the source of my pain. I ended up completing the race in a PR of 30+ minutes! I can’t give a higher recommendation than for Kimmi!” – Ben M., Triathlete & Dad (April 2016)

“Since I work at a computer much of my workday in a high-stress job, my shoulders and lower back end up sore and really, really tight.

Kimmi knows how to pinpoint the tight muscles and work on them till they release, such relief! I’ve had massages in the past but never with such attention paid to what truly hurts. Besides, Kimmi’s approach is calm and relaxing and completely positive.

I highly recommend Kimmi if you need a great massage therapist!” – Dawn S., Education Director (July 2014)

“After suffering from TMJ for a few years now and unable to find a remedy, Kimmi released my neck and shoulders tremendously giving me much needed relief in my jaw!

I didn’t realize how tight the muscles in my neck were. I’ve had massages before and sure it always feels great like on your back and shoulder but Kimmi releasing the muscles directly on the sides of my neck relieved the pain in my lower jaw on the right side where it’s so tight!

I can’t thank you enough Kimmi! You helped not only relieve my pain but also my stress over the pain as well. Xo you’re the best! – Michael C., Dancer (July 2014)

My results from one session were amazing.  I have had chronic pain in my left shoulder from an injury for almost a year.  Pain that woke me up when I turned on my left side during sleep.  The morning after my first session I actually slept through the night and woke up sleeping on my left shoulder with no pain…..don’t know how she did that, but sure wish I had started therapy with her sooner.” – Melda B., active mom (July 2014)

“It might be old age creeping up on me and/or swimming a physical readiness test because my back muscle was tweaked badly today. It even made it difficult driving home. I’m fortunate to be friends with an incredible professional sports therapist by the name of Kimmi solo founder of Fine-Tuned Athlete who made time to work on me providing me with immediate recovery. Thanks Kimmi and if anyone is in need of a professional sports therapist, contact Kimmi Hellman.” – Ray B., Active Duty Navy Chaplain, Runner (June 2014)

“I stumbled across Kimmi on Yelp by accident when I was looking for a new Chiropractor. I was suffering from a VERY bad stiff neck and the Chiro I saw for it the days before just made it worse! She [Kimmi] had such amazing reviews (she had a different business name then [Happy Healthy Fit] that I thought I should try a therapeutic massage instead of a new Chrio [Chiro].

Kimmi is amazing! Don’t get me wrong, she can’t work MAGIC, it still took a couple days for neck to work itself out…BUT I felt a lot better after seeing her! I have never had a massage like that before…it was obvious she really understands anatomy and muscles and how to apply pressure so that they naturally release. She was also VERY kind and comfortable to be around…and was very accommodating one evening when I needed an emergency session at my house! She is honest and knows her stuff!” – Lauren T., active mom (Jan 2014)

“Kimmi is incredible, she gives therapeutic massage a whole new meaning. I went to see her for a pinched nerve on the right side of my neck, which chiropractic, acupuncture and other massage was ineffective. In two sessions, the stabbing, pinched nerve pain has left. I carry my tension in the upper back, shoulders and neck and this is the worst I believe it has been. I am scheduled for additional sessions to relieve the remainder of the tension. I have never had anyone release the muscle this way. I plan on seeing Kimmie for all of my other muscle issues and for preventitive maintenance. Thank you SO MUCH Kimmie, I can’t wait until my next session. I will refer only to you in the future. ***” – Lorri L., Runner, Cyclist (Jan 2014)

“I started racing as a 15 year old I was quickly taught the importance of massages for recovery and improved flexibility and performance on the bike.  As a current elite master racer, massage has become even more important for my expedited recovery process.  Having Kimmi as our team masseuse has assisted us in raising the bar and through her experience and fitness/healthy nutrition suggestions I have reached my cycling goals” – Ernie Sanchez, Cyclist – CA Pools/Primal Racing (Nov. 2012)

“Let me give you a background on me. I am a brand new mom who is way out of shape. I have recently started crossfit, which I love, and it has been about a year since I have worked out. I am by no means athletic or in shape. I found Kim on yelp on accident. I had a huge knot on my right shoulder which caused pain up my neck so I couldn’t turn my neck, the pain also shot down my right arm and down my back. I was miserable. I could not sleep, walk, sit, or hold my son. I was screwed. I finally decided to try the massage. I made an appt. at a day spa and they last minute changed my appointment to an hour later, which I couldn’t wait. I then scrolled down and found Happy Healthy Fit and read all of the rave reviews and I knew that I had to give Kim a shot. I called her and she was able to get me in within the hour. She was amazing. Everything she told me came true. The following day I was about 70% better, then 80% better, then 100%!!!! I came back to her 4 days later so she can finish getting all of the knots and I am excited to see the new results. She called to check up me, she listened to and remembered everything I told her. I really appreciate that. She does things I have never experienced before, like actually get into my muscles in all parts of my body. It is not just a rubbing massage…she really works the muscles!!! I f you can’t tell, I highly recommend her!” – Melissa K., Mom who can’t wait to get back into her workouts! (Oct. 2012)

“Simply the BEST around!!! Kimmi contacted me through my running group when she first moved to the area.  She met us at the park where we start and finish our long runs, set up her table and gave us each a free mini session—this girl has magic hands!!! I have since seen Kimmi a few times at her studio to work out my many kinks from being a runner, and working full time sitting at a computer many hours a week.  She is truly in tune to what is going on, and where your problem areas are. She specializes in athletes, and really focuses on your problem areas.  She is tiny but mighty, and will fix whatever ails you.  I highly recommend Kimmi!” RL W., Marathoner (March 2012) ___

“Truly, she’s as good as it gets.  Kimmi is truly a caring and attentive massage therapist and her background and enthusiasm for fitness make her exceptionally attuned to the needs of athletes.  She’ll listen to you for where your major pain complaint is, but will then do her own detective work to find out where the pain possibly originates (not always where it hurts!)  As a Marine and as a former collegiate athlete, I’ve looked long and hard for quality massage therapists to help alleviate the self-induced pain I pick up from time to time.  Kimmi gave by far and away the best sports therapy massage I’ve ever received!” – Dianna B., USMC, CrossFit Instructor (Nov. 2011)

“I LOVE  Kimmi [Hellman]! She gave me my first RELAXING deep tissue massage ever and since then got me hooked. oh no… i’ve gone to many massage therapists since but NONE have compared to her continuous flowing touch. I have sciatica and usually it’s always flared up by other massage therapists. Not with Kimmi, I always feel comfterable, never wonder what’s going on… that’s coming from me.. don’t like to be touched! I never relax normally but Kimmi’s touch will put you to sleep and I’m always pain free and satisfied. Thanks Kimmi!” – Karin C., Owner/Esthetician at Ka’Lai Spa San Diego (Dec. 2010)

“I recently moved to Temecula, from Phoenix, where I enjoyed the same therapist for years. So, trying to find a new one came about as a daunting task. I got lucky on my 2nd try with Kimmie; intelligent, warm, charming, sweet, with a magic touch, I was sold within the first 5-minutes. As long as I can get there, Kimmie is my therapist. I left feeling relaxed and uplifted. As a fitness trainer, former cop, and US Marine, I can honestly give Kimmie the only (and best) recommendation which matters; “I’ll be back”.” – Michael S., Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Coach, Runner, USMC (Dec. 2010)

“After being stressed out from work and having tight neck, chest, and shoulder muscles, Kimmi worked her magic and made me the most relaxed I had been in a while. She listened to my requests and paid extra attention to loosening each tight area. I left the massage with a neck that was no longer in pain. I would highly recommend Kimmie as she is a really great masseuse!” – Jenny J. (Aug. 2010)

“Call her!!  You won’t regret it!  I have had quite a few massages in San Diego, some from top hotels/spas in the area, and Kimmi has been among the best.  She posesses great energy and a great style.  As if that wasn’t enough… she uses THE most comfortabe sheets.. (I think they’re made out of bamboo or something).  Call her and see for yourself!!” – E.O., Photographer, mom (July 2010)

“I am currently recovering from a herniated disk in my neck.  Kim has been administering massage therapy for just over a week now.  So far my doctors are monitoring the situation and are very happy with the direction I’m going, recommending continued therapy and that surgery is not needed right now.

Kimmi’s care and professionalism has certainly been a major cause of the relief of my pain.  This is especially important because it will help allow my body to be in the best position to heal itself.  I am 33 years old and play guitar for a career, for fun, for passion, and certainly will be forever.  Not only has Kimmi’s touch help relieve a tremendous amount of my pain but it has loosened my muscles enough that I can now practice proper posture and further strengthen myself.

I absolutely recommend Kimmi’s knowledge and magic hands if you simply want a relaxing massage or require a customized approach to helping you return to the best you possible after an injury.

Kimmi’s knowledge includes a holistic approach that spans well beyond simply massage and includes an excellent foundation to getting healthy in a much more complete way… and to STAY healthy.” – Joel H., Professional Musician/Producer (May 2010)

“I definitely was HAPPY after leaving Healthy Happy Fit with Kimmi Long. The environment was quiet, relaxing and clean. Kimmi takes the time to learn about you, your fitness goals, where you are having pain and the best way to treat it. She follows up and makes sure you are taking care of yourself. Perfect massage! I will be going to her time and time again.” – Jessica D., Runner (Jan. 2010)

“Received a massage from Kimmi and she was great.  She’s upfront about her skills and listens intently to what you need.  My body needed a good massage after moving and boy, she really did a great job, working the muscle groups that really needed some extra TLC.  Plus she’s a real sweetheart ~ I had the loveliest conversation with her afterwards over tea about the Holistic world.  I’ll be back for sure ~ thanks Kimmi! You’re a gem :)” – Cin Z., Athlete (Dec. 2009)

The BEST massage!

Kimmi made me feel very comfortable throughout the massage. She paid extra attention to spots that needed more work done without me even saying anything.

She helped to get a lot of the kinks and knots out of my shoulder and upper back area. After the massage, my back and shoulder felt very relaxed. Even sitting back at my desk the next day, my shoulder and back did not tense up and feel tight as they normally do.

I would highly recommend you book an appointment with Kimmi!!! I look forward to my next appointment! – Diane G., Yoga Enthusiast (Nov. 2009)

“I have been through many many massage professionals over the last few years and am so glad I found Kim.  I am an athlete and work at a desk job and often have tight muscles in my legs and neck and Kim does a great job of working it all out.

She is extremely talented, professional, and welcoming.  I have enjoyed every visit.  Highly recommended!!!” – Dan B., Triathlete (Oct. 2009)

“Kim is a trained professional with all things health related. Because she is a trainer and a massage therapist, she really understands the body in a way that a regular masseuse or trainer doesn’t. She is an expert at making you feel comfortable for a massage and is attentive to your unique muscle pains. She really listens and gives extra attention to muscle groups you mention you’re having problems with.

Working an office job and sitting for 50-60 hours a week, I had extreme pain by my left shoulder blade. After Kim’s massage the pain was completely gone!

She is also consistently consulting with her peers to stay up to date in the health industry. She really knows her stuff when it comes to nutrition, exercise and working out, as well as massage. You may come in for a massage but get some extra nutrition tips too!

I would highly recommend a session with Kim. Her warm and personable character makes every session an enjoyable and comfortable experience.” – Monica G., active athlete, graphic designer (Oct. 2009)
